How does the military take unfit individuals and transform them into a fit fighting force?
This is the question that I simultaneously asked and answered in the same moment. As I was designing MacroLab’s new signature fitness and nutrition program, I wanted a concept that would be simple, effective, and drawn from my own experience.
And that’s when the Military Performance Training was born.
You see, as a (still) active-duty member of the Coast Guard, I’ve had a LOT of experience with the overall mission and structure of military fitness. The military doesn’t use gyms, diets, or complex training. At least not initially at boot camp. At boot camp, everything is simple. The military keeps it simple because it must. The recruits it gets are from various backgrounds, food preferences, and life experiences.
It takes all of these different people and consistently has them run, walk, exercise, hydrate, and eat a balanced meal.
And you know what? It gets the job done just fine. I lost 20 pounds in boot camp. I’m a macro coach now, but I didn’t use macros then. I used the tools given to me, and then I advanced into another stage.
This simplicity isn’t easy. It’s tough, gritty, but it works. And it doesn’t require fancy jargon, restrictive diets, or any gym equipment. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times I was allowed to use the gym as a recruit. And we weren’t even allowed to use the free weights. We had to use the machines and cardio bikes in a circuit-style workout.
Nope, for the most part, it was all body weight exercises, walking, running, hydrating, and eating without snacking. When I left boot camp, I had the confidence and the knowledge to then apply the fundamentals at the gym and build upon the foundation that I had been given.
And that’s why I designed MPT90.
So men could finally take control of their life and have the confidence to take off their shirt in the bedroom, boardroom, or beach. I want to transform civilians into military shape, and this program is going to do it.
MPT90 is a 90-day military fitness program to maximize fat loss, metabolic acceleration, and muscle definition. This is not a program for everyone – it requires commitment, dedication, and a little grit. At all my units, I’ve helped my fellow brothers and sisters in the service to transform and become better versions of themselves, and now I’m extending that out to those outside the military.
I’ve realized that you don’t have to live in a gym to build eye-catching muscle or be on some fad keto or paleo diet to burn fat. You only need to be taught how to use the SIMPLE and BASIC tools that WORK for the military. Bottom line, I’m on a mission to help guys just like yourself reach military levels of untapped growth with confidence, discipline, and a ton of turned-heads!
